I’m Sam, owner and sole therapist at Vintage Garden Spa. 

Before opening the spa, I worked as a mental health nurse and clinical team leader in the NHS for over 15 years. 

After many years working with people with a variety physical and mental health issues, I understand that there is much more to our overall well being than just focusing on the treatment of health concerns, after they have become a problem. 

 Having been qualified in massage for a number of years I could see what a positive difference complimentary therapies could make. So, in late 2016, I made the decision to leave behind the medical model of health care to retrain and work in a more holistic way. I am qualified to level 3 VTCT in massage, Indian head massage, aromatherapy massage, hot stone massage, lava shell massage, holistic facials, rose quartz crystal healing facial and pregnancy massage.

The range I choose to work with is Eve Taylor London who are a British brand with over 50 years experience in the skincare industry. They do not test on animals and most of the range is vegan friendly, with only natural high quality ingredients used. They are committed to being environmentally friendly and all packaging is recyclable. 

As we now know, there are many factors that enable us to feel ‘healthy’ and each single positive thing we do for ourselves, to help us feel good, contributes to our over all health & well-being.

My love of hands on therapies led to me to create a unique and safe space. The treatments I provide are not solely based on physical results, they are tailored to you in a way that will help you to ‘let go’ of the accumulated stress we all too often carry with us. 

We all carry negative stress in different ways, whether it shows in our emotions, behaviour or physically with areas of tension, aches or pains. We may all have common problems, yet we are each individual with different needs.

Rather than offer many different services which can be sometimes confusing to choose, I keep the services I offer simple, yet very effective and tailor the way I work to meet your needs. 

The time you book with me is ‘your time’ and it’s important that you get the greatest benefit from it.

We often forget to look after ourselves and we forget how good it feels ! 

In the very busy and stressful lives we often all lead, time seems such a rare commodity and we can sometimes feel guilty for taking time out for ourselves when we seem to have endless ‘to do’ lists.

So please, allow me to take this moment to gently remind you….
